Before we begin working together, I offer a 15 min initial telephone consultation. This is a chance for us to talk, with no pressure or commitment. It’s about seeing if we’re the right fit and giving you space to think about what’s brought you to consider therapy.
I’ll ask a little about what’s going on for you now and what you’re hoping to get from counselling. You can also ask any questions about how I work. If it feels right, we can arrange sessions at a pace that suits you.
Psychodynamic counselling helps you explore what’s beneath the surface—getting to the root of the problem rather than just managing symptoms. The way we think, feel, and respond to situations is often shaped by past experiences, even when we’re not fully aware of it.
Through therapy, we can begin to understand these deeper patterns, making sense of difficult emotions and experiences. It’s not about quick fixes but gaining insight, clarity, and self-awareness—helping you move forward with a greater sense of control.
I offer in-person sessions from my discreet practice in Bishop’s Stortford, providing a quiet, confidential space for us to work together. If you live further afield or need more flexibility, online counselling is also available. Both options allow you to explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace, in a way that feels comfortable for you.
If you’d like to talk about whether couples counselling or individual counselling is right for you, I offer a free initial consultation.
